One of the activities that we did for the reunion was attend a Giants game at the AT&T Park!

It was absolutely FREEZING but it was SO much fun! Mikkelle loved every minute of it!

During the cheering and dancing Mikkelle got jiggy with it!

We had SO much fun at the beach! It started off a little cool...but then it got nice and warm and we were all enjoying ourselves! To get things going we buried all the grandkids!

And planted a garden!

Sadly...the only one missing is Lekai...but I think I can convince Chad to digitally add his head

Cute little Boston! He's such a boy! He got wiped out by the waves a couple times and while everyone else complained he was like "That was SO awesome!!!!" lol. Love him!

Mikkelle kept falling asleep in the sand...so we propped her hat on her head and snapped a shot. She hung out like this for a while!

I think it must have been warmer in the sand!

Cute little McCoy! Last I saw McCoy he was so little and quiet! Now whenever he says something he yells it! You always know when McCoy is around! I love it!

Cute Alicia and Dan. As fun as this vacation was I think they need a vacation from their vacation.

Not sure what Kayden was doing at the time, but he was having a blast rolling around in the sand!

Sweet little Ryland does many projects with his sea shells. He collects them. This was only a short while after we had arrived and he already had a large handful!

Poor skinny kid was freezing the whole time though!

Aaa....Dacie! Mikkelle's gal pal! They had so much fun together! She's such a little beauty!

Lekai was in Heaven. He gets held a lot anyway, but I don't think he was set down alone once in 2 weeks! He loved every minute of it!

This trip was my first time meeting little Rhett! Sad that I missed all his cute baby months but wow! What a cutie! I love all his little expressions! He is a sweetheart!

I love the beach, and listening to the waves! I spent most my time relaxing and softening my feet with God's exfoliator...sand!

Of course Kelby had to get in his "man" picture! And a MAN he is!!! toot toot!!!

To start off the Hutchings Family Reunion in San Fransico, CA 2011 we ate at Boudins and got a taste of what sourdough bread is supposed to taste like! And it was delicious!

My babies are getting so big!

Every Day they do something new and exciting.

Lekai is learning to roll over and sit up.

Mikkelle is learning all sorts of new things and is constantly singing and dancing!

Both sleep wonderfully,

And both make me more grateful for the life that I have.

Mini Update!

It's been a little while since I've updated everyone on my family...so here we go!

Lekai is now a little over 2 months old and Mikkelle is 3 and a half! Lekai is growing rapidly and hasn't slowed down in the slightest. He now weights 16 lbs and is almost 25 inches long. We were hanging out with some friends the other day and their 14 month old weighed 17 lbs....so you get some comparison. Plus in the pictures below you can compare him next to Mikkelle : ) She has a hard time holding him he's so big! But we love it! He smiles all the time and sleeps between 9-12 hours and has been doing that for almost a month!

Mikkelle is still a great sleeper too! She almost always sleeps exactly 12 hours and then takes between a 3-4 hour nap. My kids must have inherited their mothers sleeping genes!

She is in primary and loves that I am the music leader. She thinks it gives her free reign to run around the entire primary room. F-U-N! She still loves dance and will be taking a class this summer as well as swimming lessons. We spend a lot of time at my parents house. Mikkelle loves their pigs and chickens and is always such a good helper in the garden!

Now even though there are periods of time where Lekai and Mikkelle sleep for 12 hours straight we never get more than 8 hours of sleep. Too many things to do I guess! Kelby is always going! He exercises a lot, works a lot and does a great job fulfilling his calling. And on top of all of that he is an AMAZING father and hubby. He loves his kiddos!

I've really been enjoying my calling as the Primary Music Leader! Thank you everyone who helped with ideas! They have worked wonderfully so far! And any other suggestions would be great! I haven't worked on either of my "businesses" since I got pregnant. But am hoping to get back into it. Kelby and I have been doing a lot of research on eating healthier and more organic. We hardly eat anything processed. We don't microwave food anymore, we use coconut oil (so many uses!), celtic sea salt and we've completely rid our house of aspartame and msg. We are also working on knocking out high fructose corn syrup. We have been exercising more and are trying to just be healthier! It feels great and it's nice knowing that we are teaching our children good eating habits! I am still gluten intolerant although occasionally I can handle my dad's home-ground whole wheat flour. To be honest it's a blessing! It makes it easier to say no to things like cake and cookies!

So, life is good! We have two beautiful children, we love where we live-we love each other, our callings and we are so excited Shaun and Cat live close by! It's always nice to have more family around! We miss and love all of you!

Lekai has been such a blessing in our lives already. Just when you think life can't get any sweeter Heavenly Father sends you a little gumdrop of a baby!

(although in Lekai's case it was a BIG gumdrop!)

He is always so happy and cuddly. He loves to be held and is extremely alert.

His eyes are always so wide with curiosity.

We are truly grateful to have this sweet little bundle of love in our lives!

And we know it's just going to get better and better!

WELCOME TO THE WORLD LEKAI!

We welcomed a handsome little boy into the world on March 15th 2011 at 4:13 am.

He weighed 9 lbs and 10 ounces and was 22 and 1/2 inches long!

He was born in Springfield, Missouri at the St. John's hospital.

He's a big healthy boy and has already changed so much. He is eager to hold his head up and has the widest most open eyes I've ever seen in a newborn! You can tell he is happy to be here and soaking it all in!

The nurses gave him a green shirt and hat and matching booties for the trip home on St. Patrick's day : )

Kelby LOVES his little son and already day dreams of playing football with him lol : )

People keep telling us how much he looks like Kelby and how much Mikkelle looks like me.

And of coarse Mikkelle is the happiest big sister! She loves her baby brother and always wants to hold him. And she does such a good job.

We are so excited for our new little addition and can't wait to watch him grow and how we will all grow with him. He has already brought so much happiness to our lives.

Kelby and I were invited to a Murder Mystery Dinner this last week and it was soooo much fun. My name was Lovey Huntsman and Kelby's was Carey Huntsman and though we had other jobs we loved doing big game hunting. So we were hunters for the night...and caught ourselves a juicy little Mikkelle.

And yes, that is how big my belly is...

We had so much fun and have decided to host the next one! Can't wait!

So I thought about putting this picture at the beginning, middle and end of this post since it was what she talked about the most on her birthday! Kelby Snuck into her room at like 5 am and put a TON of balloons all over her floor and from her ceiling. When she woke up she ran out with a balloon yelling "there's balloons in my room for my birfday!" "because it's my birfday, there's balloons" and she said that about a MILLION more times : ) And every time I tried to take a picture of her holding a balloon she threw it at the last second. Love her!

I made Mikkelle chocolate chip pancakes with syrup and powdered sugar. She ate three of the BIG ones...ok she inhaled them!

After breakfast we got dressed and took her to Petland. They let you hold all the animals there and she loved the puppies. The thought her skirt was a chew toy however....

She was extremely happy but not as happy as she was with the hamsters...and we were so caught up holding them that I forgot to get a picture : (

Then there were the birds. I had a hard time with this at first...but eventually one of them warmed me up a little and I even held it. (of course while I was holding it another bird jumped out of the hands of someone else onto ME flapping and fluttering all over my leg....figures).

Mikkelle however is not afraid of them at all. In fact she was letting him walk all over her back and arms. She even tried to get the little boy in the pic above to try and pet the bird. He was not as excited.

After holding the puppies, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits and birds we went out to Red Robin.

Mikkelle LOVES their little pizza and always wants to try one of the fancy drinks...and it turns out they look better than they taste.

Then the sang to her and gave her ice cream and a balloon and she was VERY HAPPY!!!!!

After naps (yes plural..we all took one...) Kelby came home from work and we went to Qdoba. She loves their little chicken quesadilla.

When we finished up there Mikkelle requested to go BACK to Petland....so AWAY we went! She had just as much fun as the first time and was DISTRAUGHT to be leaving. But she's a good little girl and finally was convinced that ice cream and presents were going to be more fun...

So we went to Andy's : ) YUM!

Then off to home to play "hot" and "cold" to find her presents. This is the dino hat I had made for her. She loves it!

And here is another one. I exchanged a jewelry box with someone on Etsy to make me some hats for Mikkelle. She loved them and I actually made money off of it. : )

And this picture is for the Hutchings : ) Here is what she got this year! (She's sitting on a new really comfy mattress and a super soft crib sheet and pillow my mom made)

So for Halloween this year Mikkelle wanted to be FANCY Nancy from the childrens story books. If you haven't heard of her, look her up she's adorable and Mikkelle fits the part PERFECTLY.

So of course my mom and I decked her out-Fancy Nancy style. And she LOVED IT!!!!

She even won first place in our wards costume contest and won a gift card to Andy's Frozen Custard.

Upon receiving this gift she immediately said "Ice Cream for my BIRFTHDAY!"

And so it will be, we'll be taking her there on Friday...when she turns 3!!!!

This is what happens when it rains a lot in Missouri...

(ok well this doesn't happen but it's a rock that looks like a dog head! Cool!!)

We get a river in our backyard! I mean this thing was HUGE...there were even little rapids.

It was pretty cool and very beautiful. My dad wants to put a man made stream down there eventually, but it's nice to have it naturally occur : )

Mikkelle the Model.

So I tried my hand at making a tutu for Mikkelle. I had barely tied the tulle on when Mikkelle was begging to try it on and then requested that we take pictures of her!

We tried to make it look more put together (because I'm not anywhere CLOSE to being finished...I hadn't even evened the bottom out lol) so we could get some cute shots.

She went STRAIGHT to our normal photo spot and immediately started posing...

and then about every 10 pictures or so she would request that we stop and look at the pictures we had taken....lol.

She even tried her serious face..

but mostly she was just twirly and happy...

and mostly...smiley.

Yay! We got a minivan! or should I say Yay we got a car! Who cares what kind? (although I'm glad it's a minivan!) I'm sure most of you know we broke down in the middle of the Nevada desert on our way to moving out to Missouri!

And we have been car-less ever since...until this week! We found an AMAZING car for an AMAZING price and couldn't NOT get it. And I'm so glad we did! It's perfect!

We'll be able to have this car for a LONG time! (I'm thinking we should fit the WHOLE family in it....always)

It's got bucket seats, which I love and two sliding doors. Both of which were my stipulations for getting a minivan.

Can't wait to take it on a long trip! It will make life so much easier and roomier for a family drive : ) Also, can't wait to have another car-seat in the back there with Mikkelles. YAY!

So Kelby and I thought it might be fun to try some cake making/decorating.

We've never REALLY done something like this and thought it would be fun to do together.

The cake mix was easy but we decided to make our own fondant...not only had we never made it before but neither of us had ever even used it...

We tried two different kinds...the one above was not a good recipe.

the one below...was awesome! It was made with marshmallows! YUM!

It required a LOT of kneading and was pretty exhausting after a while.

We decided to make a four layer cake and it turned out perfect! However you will notice that our lovely round cake turned into a square. This is what happens when you fall asleep and forget to wrap the edges and they dry out...and you have to cut it...boo.

And then..more kneading! YAY!

Haha...now below is a picture of the final product. We had NO idea what we were doing...and it ended up looking like crap...HOWEVER...it was pretty much the best tasting cake ever. Seriously. It was. Can I have some more!?!?!

We asked a bunch of people if we could give them our cake after we designed it and Kelby's work friends won it. We want to decorate it but don't really want a TON of cake lying around.

All in all it wasn't a COMPLETE failure. We learned a lot of what-not-to-do's but that should make the next cake just a little bit better!

It's been a while obviously since I last posted. Here are just a couple things we've done lately.

We went to my Grandfather's grave for Memorial Day and put flowers there. It was the first time I had been there since he passed away. He is buried in a "new" section of the graveyard, so there were a LOT of flowers there...it was quite beautiful in a sad way. I think it should always look like that.

Grandfather Cane. Love him. Miss him. I wish he and Mikkelle had had a chance to meet.

On a different topic completely we started out family garden. Mikkelle loved all the little "snakes" (worms)...

This is Mikkelle's personal little garden. Those large things are yellow squash and pumpkins. We thought it would be fun for Mikkelle to pick a pumpkin for her Birthday since it's so close to Halloween : )

She's actually really good at planting seeds and loves to walk around in mud but hates getting her hands dirty lol. Such a girl...but it's ok we got her gardeners gloves...

Most of the vegetables we planted were organic. I wonder if it will make a difference in how they taste.

Mikkelle didn't want us to take a picture of her working...she had to pose for the camera : )

EASTER 2010!!!

We had a WONDERFUL Easter. Everything from The Eggs to Conference were perfect : )

Here's Mikkelle's Basket. She found it next to her bed in the morning and immediately ran to show me and Grandma and Grandpa!
She got lots of yummy candy and cute little toys : )

And she's always so sharing...

While she was getting dressed and ready the Easter Bunny came and hid little chocolate eggs all over the living room! She had a ton of fun finding them once she got the hang of it...

We haven't been able to separate her from them since!

What a little cutie! LOVE HER!

And here she is happily munching away on some yummy chocolate...

She even turned into a bunny herself for a little while and hopped around the living room!

After Conference in the morning Mikkelle and the fam decorated Easter eggs and then went out to find them!

It was actually kinda hot...around 80 degrees! But it was beautiful and green and Mikkelle ran ALL over the backyard. But one of the eggs was never found...either Shelby (our dog) or some other animal got to it!

Of course what is Easter without a mini modeling show from Mikkelle?

Haha, she was ready to eat everything in her basket! Plastic or not!

We love our little Mikkelle and were so glad to enjoy all of the Holiday Traditions as well as celebrating in our Savior, Jesus Christs Resurrection!

Bree's Baby Shower Gift

So my friend Bree just had a baby shower this last Saturday and this is what I made her! It's a diaper cake suite coat and tie! And you can actually wear the tie! I thought it was kinda fun! There's material wrapped around the diapers to make it look like a double breasted suit top with a pocket and hanky! Fun project and gift!

So our neighbors are out of town for about a week and a half...and we volunteered to watch their gerbils...WHAT WHERE WE THINKING! It's love at first sight!

This is what Mikkelle wants to do when she wakes up...after breakfast, before lunch, before nap time...after nap time and then the rest of the evening! She LOVES these little guys. I have a feeling a gerbil or gerbils will be in our near future.

She is really good with them too! She is very gentle and loves to give them kisses...yummay!

Most of the time we just set them one of the steps because they get stuck...and just run back and forth! Love them though! I kinda want one too!

The morning we left...Mikkelle was watching Winnie the Pooh and zoning out because she had gotten up VERY early that morning to sneak into the candy jar. My dad found her at 6:45 am leaning over the couch with her hand in the jar covered in chocolate. lol.

Some friends/family came over on Sunday and we played. It was a lot of fun!

And little Brienne! I fell in love instantly. Not only is she extremely BEAUTIFUL but she is so bright! Her eyes are so wide and you can SEE her learning. She is adorable.

And the cutest little cousins! Love them. Maya (I'm sorry if I am spelling her name wrong!) and Brienne. Only like 3 or 4 days difference. Kiss Maya's cheeks and you'll never want to kiss anything else. Soft and Juicy. Just like they should be : )

KARMA Theater

So last night when I got home from grocery shopping with Mikkelle there was a sheet hanging over the way to the downstairs. And two signs that read

"Welcome to the KARMA Theater" and "Admittance with 1 kiss and an 'I love you.'"

And downstairs Kelby had set up the room to look like a little mini theater with all of our favorite snacks!

(yes there was ice cream...)

And we watched Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. IT WAS AWESOME! We all really LOVED it! Kelby is so creative and thoughtful and it was a memorable night.

Let's get CRAFTY!!

So my little Mikkelle loves to be crafty, like her mom and her grandma!

I thought it would be fun (and Mikkelle agreed) to make masks! She kept saying "face, face face" over and over again! So we got some glue and water and made paste...

Ripped up a bunch of old used paper and decoupaged it to a balloon!

Then we blow dried it and waited for it to get hard.

Mikkelle was getting impatient and kept sneaking the balloon! (I finally had to put it up high so she couldn't get at it).

But she got extremely excited when I told her we were going to paint! I stripped her down and put a grocery bag over her with cut outs for her head and arms.

We popped the balloon and cut the mold in half.

Cut out the holes for her eyes and mouth...

And painted them! The one on the left is going to be an alien and the one on the right is going to be a tiger. We had to wait for the paint to dry to continue and well...

Mikkelle just wouldn't have any of that! She LOVES to paint...so I let her. And she painted for a long time. So long in fact that we didn't have time to finish the masks. But we'll get there...so I guess this post is

So for Christmas, our big gift to her was getting some fish! So we got Four!

Most of them are goldfish, but we got them from a specialty store and they are really pretty...

And we also got a sucker fish!

Mikkelle was having the best time ever looking at all her options but she specifically picked out the rasberryhead (above).

It was a lot of fun to see how excited she got!

My Quarter of a Century old MAN!

Aww isn't he cute : ) Kelby turned 25 years old yesterday! My baby's all growed up! We had a great day and started off with a continental breakfast hosted by moi! It was a lot of fun! After school we went to Tucano's as a tradition! And had yummy food and guava lemonade!

Mikkelle loved ALL of it and Kelby thought it would be "cute" to give her a steak knife as a picture prop. So NOT cute! But I had to take a picture or else what was the point? She also decided that her bib was cape.

After that we went to Nickelcade and played a TON of games! We got lots of tickets (approximately 600) and traded them in for some fun stuff!!

But not before Mikkelle got her fill on EVERY SINGLE RIDE!

Here is a picture of some of the tickets. I got a 200 ticket jackpot at one point...it was like gambling...only not.

And here is one of the toys Kelby got! A super cool wooden rubber band gun! It actually works pretty good!

And of course Kelby got his baby a little toy and some candy and she couldn't have been HAPPIER!!!

Although I can't tell who's smile is bigger. Kelby's or Mikkelle's.

NACHO LIBRE!

So we got a gift card from Alicia and Dan (thank you thank you!) for Christmas and my brother gave us a buy one get one free banana split coupon so we got two HUGE banana splits for like 5 bucks! AWESOME!

And this is how I have to end the pictures because we couldn't stop laughing! Mikkelle kept wiggling her hips and grabbing her bum! And she was like a half a foot from these peoples heads! She thought she was being SO funny! (which she was) I don't know why she started but I wish I had recorded it. It was hilarious.
After Ice cream we went and dropped off Mikkelle's at a friends house and headed out to see Avatar! It was AWESOME! We really enjoyed it...and finally we crashed. It was a great day. I love you Kelby and I am so grateful that you are my husband and that we get to share all the rest of our birthdays together. You are the best person, man and husband. I LOVE YOU!

I'm Turning Japanese!!!

So Tepoe put on a baby shower for her sister Malia a couple of days ago. The theme was "Japanese" and they went all out from kimono's on the wall to characters hanging on a window and of course SUSHI! Malia looked adorable (and ready to pop!) and as we are all waiting for her to come through the front door to surprise her she surprises us from behind! Way to ruin the moment! But I still got a good shot of the excitement : )

The food was starting to be loaded. This isn't even a tenth of the amount of homemade Japanese food that was there. And it was all DELICIOUS! I made the Diaper sushi rolls with onesies socks and hats in the middle : )

This is Malia's first bow and his name is going to be Kekoa. Awesome!

This is a shot from above obviously of a lot of the people that were there. Though not all of them. About ten of us are off to the left stuffing our faces : )

Of course the amazing Lauren! I had to take a picture of her cell phone necklace! Haha! She clips it on so she won't lose it!

This year has been much better than the last! Mikkelle LOVES snow! Or what she calls "smow" If she can't play in it she wants to eat it and will be content with a little snow ball to take with her.

I never want to forget how cute and little her feet are...

Look how many tomatoes we still had on our plant when the frost came! Sad!

And this of course is what Mikkelle looks like most of the time in the snow. She doesn't have the best balance!
One more reason to love her!

A Version of Christmas

This year Kelby, Mikkelle and I all went to California for Christmas! It was a lot of fun and it was nice to spend time with family. Mikkelle was the only Grandchild there this year and she was sooo spoiled because of it. She pretty much thought Cat was the greatest and still says some cute things because of her. So of course we did a bunch of traditions once the partay got started. One of them is looking up from under the tree after it's been decorated. It was mine and Mikkelle's first time and it was actually quite relaxing!

And afterwards we put all the pretty presents under! The tree looked Perfect! It was the fluffiest, straightest tree I've ever seen! And they got it for like $20 bucks!

...And I admit...I've never seen so many stockings hung under the chimney...

Jeanie said these (most of them) were Brendons. I've always thought Nutcrackers were cool and we even got one as an ornament this year! It was nice to talk to Brendon this year and to hear how he is doing. Hopefully after his mission I'll have someone else on my side to convert everyone to move to Missouri. : )

I also love that everyone (well almost) that had gone on a mission in their family had a decoration from their mission. Kelby's is the rooster from Portugal.

We didn't get the lights up until a little later this year cause it rained and Nana was the light put-er-upper! She also had to look around for a poopy diaper up there because Kelby thought he could make the dumpter on the other side of the building. Haha...

We also did Gingerbread houses. Kelby's is the one with a HUGE roof and mine is the soap and dish. haha. I was going to make something else...but that fell through. Literally. Nana's had a voodoo man and Cat's had the entire Temple Session. Haha! Although Kent thought it was a car wash!

And what would Christmas be without a little golfing?

Well...actually it would still be Christmas....

But I can't deny how cute they all look! Haha. It's like they are on the golf team in High School!

We also had the traditional Nativity reinactment. I played multiple shepherds. Kelby the scary angel guy (who reminded me of the angel from "total eclipse of the heart" music video) Shaun the Pimp gangster wiseman...Cat the Israeli "don't look at my face" wisewoman...and of course Nanna as the Pop Princess wisewoman. Kent and Amberlyn played Mary and Joseph with Mikkelle as baby Jesus. I hope we don't burn for this one.

I think the Sheperds were frightened...but I don't think it was because the angel was going to eat them.

Duck Pond!

So we went to the BYU Duck Pond the other day and fed all the ducks. Mikkelle thought they were the greatest and I was trying not to have a heart-attack. When we first got there before I had even opened the bag of bread there were like 50 ducks quaking at me and they were all too close! AHHHH! Then Kelby came and rescued me! lol. Mikkelle did a great job and had a lot of fun feed ing all of them...

Her and Kelby hung out on the sidelines tossing the bread in (and cupcakes). The Ducks actually preferred the bread over the cupcakes. I think we can all learn a lesson from these Anatidae.

All in all it was a lot of fun.

And the next day we were all sick.

The other day it was raining and Mikkelle and I both were sick of being inside.

But it was raining!

We went out anyway!

We danced and twirled, splashed and played!

3rd Year Anniversary

As I am sure most of you heard Kelby and I celebrated our 3rd year anniversary last month (I'm slow I know) And to celebrate we went out the weekend before and stayed the night in SLC (thanks Nana!) We had a romantic rooming overlooking the city lights, sparkling cider in our room and a beautiful gift basket awaiting us! Then we went out to eat at the Macaroni Grill as part of our package and it was delicious!

After that we went on a carriage ride around the city and enjoyed each others company! After that we strolled around looking at shops and were even on the evening news! (lol) We had virgin daiquiris at Olive Garden and enjoyed the rest of the evening at the hotel! We even had Valet Parking! The next day we strolled around the streets and ran into the Farmers Market and had a ton of fun sampling food and buying yummy treats! Then off to Sushi at Happy Sumo and then sadly and happily we went home! It was truly a wonderful weekend! But we still had our actually anniversary to celebrate! So I made dinner!

We had steamed Lobster, shrimp, cheesy baguettes, sushi and a Martinelli! It was delicious and romantic and just perfect!

VOILA!

We even had our shrimp in Martini glasses with the sauce in the glass!

YUMMY!

After dinner Kelby moved all the couches in the living room and we danced in the candlelight and then watched a love movie : )

I love Kelby more now than I ever have and I will love him more everyday for always.

Rusty's Birthday!

So Rusty had his Birthday this last weekend, and as it seems tradition. I made him a crazy cake. A Dragon Ball Z cake, which is a cartoon. And it's awesome! The character is Vegeta! I think it turned out pretty good!

He's a SUPER SAYAN!

And here is my back-up cake. lol. A chunk of the cake came out of the center when I removed it from the pan and it reminded me of the body of a dinosaur. So that is what it became. I made this in case Vegeta was a flop! They both turned out all right!

We love you Rusty! We were so glad that you were in town for a while and that we got to share your birthday with you!

Labor Day HIKE!

So, for Labor day, Chad and Beth and their Kids, and Nana and Our Family all went and had a picnic near Bridal Falls and went on a hike on a trail. Before we started of coarse Mikkelle, had to get her "pre-hike dirty" on!

She looked like a little raccoon or something!

We played down by the river...

Hung out waiting for the coals to heat up!

Enjoyed nature!

And had a nice time visiting with each other!

And finally the grill was ready, so we cooked up the hamburgers, or chad did (thanks chad!) and ate up! YUM!

Then UP the trail we went!

And this was McCoy like the whole time. Awake...but not really awake!

ALMOST THERE!

VOILA! The Falls! These aren't Bridal Falls, but there was no one there and it was beautiful! Everyone who went to the top took turns touching the falls. You could hear some of them screaming because it was so cold (aka Kelby)

Beth was incredible! Here she is pregnant and is kicking all our butts while she has three kids hanging off her! All in all it was a great day. No one got hurt although Nana almost fell down a hill and Kelby almost didn't fit through the "gate" in the beginning..lol. But it was awesome! Very refreshing! Especially since later on that day all of us would be stuffing our faces : )

My "Craft Room"

YAY! I know it isn't much but I am so excited! Kelby and I finally got our basement cleaned and my crafts organized! We also got some more lamps so I can actually see down there in my own personal den!

Having those shelves makes it about a million times easier to find things!

Here are some of the things I've been working on! The two on the right are alligator clips covered in ribbon with two ribbon roses that I hand made and attached! The one on the left is a flower I sewed with another hand made ribbon rose and a cute button in the middle!

And here are some of the bibs I've made! They are reversible and have a coordinating pattern on the other side! Yay for being crafty!

I was working on crafts and heard some banging noises so I went upstairs to find Mikkelle with about 5 or six headbands on her head, a paintbrush and a candle hanger banging them together to make some BEAUTIFUL music!

Nana's at BYU! It's already been a ton of fun having her and Kelby and I are excited to get to spend time with Nana. We went all over BYU when she first got here! We checked out her books...

Spent most of our time in a line...

In between those two things we actually got some stuff done! Like taking her "Mission" pic of where she is going to be living!

We drove around...

And looked things up on the computer! She's been trying out for dance teams, and flirting with boys. (WHAT!) And has already been a huge help with Mikkelle. It was great to spend time with Jeanie and help Nana get started. I haven't seen her apartment yet but Jeanie took pictures so you will have to track her down for them. (Unless I go take some!)

Our ward had a Carnival a little bit back! It was a lot of fun! They had all sorts of fun games to play and yummy things to eat!

This is the pool that Mikkelle drenched her then not water proof cast. We had to go and get it re-done and opted to upgrade.

Kelby gave us both Ladybugs : ) This is a great picture because you can actually see Mikkelle pouring her pop-ice all over me. Good thing this was taken about .25 seconds before that.

They had a ring toss! Which was fun for all the kids. Mikkelle was actually pretty good.

Kelby got volunteered by a woman in our ward after she attended a party we through and saw that Kelby did face painting.

Here he is all set up! It was a lot of fun! The food was great and the company was fantastic!

My FIRST Quiche!

I've been baking a lot lately and I thought I would share my favorite recipes with you!

I'll start off with my most recent

Quiche

First off you need to make a Single Crust Pie, if you would like to make it yourself.

Single Crust Pie

1 1/4 cups all purpose flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/3 cup shortening

4 to 5 tablespoons cold water

Prep 10 min.

1. In a medium bowl stir together flour and salt. Using a blender, cut in shortening until pieces are pea-size.

2. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the water over part of the flour mixture"gently toss with fork. Push moistened dough to the side of the bowl and repeat until all the flour mixture is moistened.

3. On a lightly floured surface, use your hands to slightly flatten dough. Roll dough from center to edges into a circle about 12 inches in diameter.

4. To transfer pastry, wrap it around the rolling pin. Unroll pastry into a 9 inch pie plate. Ease pastry into pie plate without stretching it.

5. Trim pastry to 1/2 inch beyond edge of pie plate. Fold under extra pastry. Crimp edge as desired.

Quiche:

1 recipe for Single Crust Pie

4 beaten eggs

1 1/2 cups milk

1/4 cup sliced green onions

1/4 tsp salt

1/8 tsp black pepper

Dash of ground nutmeg

3/4 cup chopped cooked ham, chicken, or crab meat

1 1/2 cups shredded cheese of your choice

1 tbsp all purpose flour

Prep time 25 min - Bake 52 - Oven 450/325 - Stand 10 Min - Serves 6

1. Line the Pie Crust with a double thickness of foil. Bake in a 450 oven for 8 minutes. Remove foil. Bake for 4 to 5 minutes more or until pastry is set and dry. Remove from oven. Reduce the oven temperature to 325.

2. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl stir together eggs, milk, green onions, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir in meat. In a small bowl toss together the cheese and flour. Add to egg mixture. Mix well.

3. Pour egg mixture into hot, baked pastry shell. Bake in the 325 oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Kelby and I used Pioneer day as an excuse to throw a party!

We had lots of games for the kids and even had prizes!

It was pretty HOT so we had bobbing for apples so the kids could keep kool

Random, but this was our first tomato from our garden. It's was delicious (o.k. I was gonna quote something but I think I'll veto that idea).

Hello Hyrum!

Boston and Mikkelle were trying to get the same donut! They were laughing so hard it was hilarious!

Little did we know that we were going to have ALL the grand kids at out house! MADNESS! But FUN MADNESS!

We ate popcorn and watched Monsters Inc for the kids and Clover field for the adults on a projector we borrowed from a friends (notice my house is destroyed in picture about lol)

And of course fireworks! Kelby and I bought a few but Pam and Anthony bought the MOTHER LOAD, and it was a blast!

And of course Sparklers for all the kids!

Although it was extremely hot that day, it was a lot of fun!

Kelby and I love putting little parties together lately and hanging out with friends and family! It was great to see you Dan and Alicia! Glad you guys dropped by!

So, I don't know what is up with me lately but I have been craving sushi! We have had it three times in a week! And sushi is a little expensive to be eating so often, so we decided to make some at home (well I sorta made Kelby). I've been wanting to do it for like EVER! Above is the seaweed, the sesame seeds and the bamboo mat (I researched some stuff online). The bamboo mat was a place mat (haha) which we had to substitute for a real one (and it didn't work so well) and the seaweed was a little too tough (we'll have to find a different brand) BUT it did the job!

Here is the sushi rice after I finished cooking and cooling it with sushi rice vinegar.

Here are the chopsticks, miso soup packets (yum) and the bowls we used for the soup. These bowls are the ones BooBoo gave us from Japan!

And here are some of the fillings, cucumbers and avocado's. MMMmmm! And of course we had meat. Crab and Shrimp.

And here's some of the sushi! We quickly discovered that our knives are no where NEAR sharp enough (I really want a sushi knife now!) so they made the rice fall off a little (which was annoying and totally ruins my display) However they were DELICIOUS! And Kelby made me make some more the next day!

YUMMY Miso Soup! I even ate the tofu this time although the seaweed is my favorite!

And of course more sushi! I learned a lot from this first experience and I am excited to get all the right tools so I can make more! It's a lot of fun!

Here's Mikkelle after she went to the ER. She got a temporary cast and a sling! And she was so drugged up on Codeine she was happy about it!

And of course our little Cheese Ball. I just love her!
The Dr. said she will have the cast on for four weeks!
We'll see how that goes...

Here's Mikkelle in her cute little getup ready to start the parade! She was actually quite bored for the first little bit! Sitting still for longer than 1 minute is NOT her favorite!

Kelby and I got there a little earlier because we wanted to get in the front. We ended up being in charge of extra T-Shirts and the Candy : ) Here we are about to go onto the main road of the parade!

We had a sign that was held in front of us and we were announced about every couple hundred ft. (I don't know if you can tell from here but we had followers...lol...a lot of the other parents walked behind us because we had bubbles and they kept their children happy)

Not such a flattering picture of me but Mikkelle is cute. As you can see we went all out compared to a lot of the other strollers and such (we also got a lot of attention because of it)

It actually started to rain, which surprisingly got us more cheers! lol. Mikkelle seemed confused by it.

Mikkelle eventually got out and walked around. This was her favorite part. She got to get real close to people and they all cheered her on. There was actually a part in the parade where she was running and she totally fell. All of a sudden there was this loud "Awwwwww!!" from the crowd and as she stood up there was a huge "YAY!" and lots of clapping. She just kinda looked around, started clapping too and began running again (only to fall again a few feet later to have the whole scene repeated).

After the parade Mikkelle got her picture taken with a few winners of a local pageant. They were goo-gaa-ing over her. She was kinda tired from running and walking and sitting so much that she wasn't the happiest baby. Although she was still very polite with her "please" and "thank yous."

Also there were several professional photographers that got right up close with Mikkelle and one videographer that Mikkelle loved! He got her attention and she started walking right after him! Staring at the camera the whole time! He taped her for like 30 seconds straight on and then followed her around for a while. This happened in front of a bunch of friends in the crowd and they were all cheering her on!

I don't know where this Stake got it's budget from but this was pretty impressive!

After the parade we had to walk all the way home. All in all we walked about 7 miles that day. And Mikkelle was a sweetie all the way : )

After that morning we came home and Mikkelle napped (notice she is much happier in her pictures from now on!) While she napped Kelby and I watched ID4! (I fell asleep).

Then we went outside and had a water balloon fight...ate some ice cream...

Played with the bubbles...

Got sudsy...

Pretended to get attacked by Killer Baby!

And had a fire in our pit. We roasted hot dogs and ate s'mores!

We tried to keep Mikkelle awake to watch the Fireworks out front from Stadium of Fire but there was no way. She zonked out. But that's OK. Kelby and I got some blankets, some pillows a few drinks and sat on our car in the driveway.

It was a beautiful show!

After the fireworks Kelby and I passed out! It was an exhausting and exciting day! I wish we could do it all over again!

TWENTY-TWO

Well, I am officially Twenty-Two! And my Birthday started off amazing and ended that way thanks to my completely thoughtful husband! It all began with Breakfast in bed @ 9 o'clock! I didn't even hear Mikkelle! He'd gotten her all ready and she brought me flowers.

There were also rose petals all over the bed and the floor...which made me feel like a complete princess!

...And of course the D-licious meal he had prepared for me!

There were also these cute little coupons that he had made for me (since apparently my present was an I.O.U. I guess they were out of stock) that he had placed throughout the day!

Then there was the puzzle! While Kelby was cleaning up from breakfast I went on a search throughout the house looking for these pieces.

Each piece had a clue as to where the next one was...

And they all came together to create a message: A list of things we could do that day...and the next day! (Yes he gave me TWO days!) But one piece/option was missing...

And VOILA! It was on a brand NEW BIKE! So, I know, my husband is pretty much the coolest ever! (And here I thought I was getting an I.O.U.! Ha!) We went on a bike ride about ten minutes later and the whole time Mikkelle kept saying "Wee....Wee!" It was super cute!

And of course there were all the beautiful roses I had collected! I totally forgot the picture, but THANK YOU THANK YOU Everyone else for the presents you sent! I loved them all!

After breakfast and the Bike ride we all got dressed and ready for the day and went out to my FAVORITE restaurant Tucanos! Where they sang to me and made me dance. It was delicious and fun!

Brazilian lemonade. Yum.

After lunch Kelby let me and Mikkelle take naps while he wrote out the invitations to a girls night I was having later that week (How amazing can he get?!).

Then, there was the bowling!

Kelby and I don't go bowling often so we aren't very good, but it was a lot of fun and he kicked my butt!

At the bowling alley they had one of those photo booths. Kelby and I had never done one! It was awesome! We sent one to each of the parents and kept two for ourselves!

After bowling we dropped Mikkelle off at Kevin and Amanda's and she watched her for us. Then we went out to this place called The Happy Sumo.
WHICH WAS AWESOME!
I'm always in the mood for sushi and theirs was amazing! I was very impressed!
And off to the movies we went!
We saw The Proposal and really enjoyed it!
It was the perfect day!
Every second was amazing! So thank you to everyone who helped,
But especially to Kelby. You are the most amazing man I have ever met and you make me happier each day I spend with you. Thank you for always being there for me and being so good at showing me you care!

Kelby and I and especially Mikkelle are all loving the wonderful weather!

Here are some of the flowers I've grown this year in my first flower garden!

And we are finally beginning to see the fruits of our labor! Literally! It's green still but it's HUGE! My grandmother would be so proud!

And of course more Mikkelle.
She is prettier than all the flowers anyway...
