What goes up...must come down!

Once there was a Snowman...TALL, TALL, TALL!!!!

Once upon a time it snowed very heavily!!A little baby named Mikkelle looked outside anxiously. I mean what was all that white stuff anyway?
So her parents bundled up their little Snow Bunny and headed outside...
At first she was intrigued and excited...
then...she wasn't so sure.
then her daddy took her into the snow a little ways and that did it for her...
She was running for the door!
So, while her mommy held her and "protected" her, her daddy and her Uncle Rusty started playing in the snow...
Which quickly turned into a competition...
And slowly turned into teamwork.
And so, the making of Mr. Snowman began.
And he kept getting taller...
And almost taller...
When his head fell off...
But they quickley put it back on again...and made it bigger...and taller!
Until finally he was over 10 ft tall.
He was such a great friend, he was always there to lean on....
Or climb on...
The End.

I'm a BIG kid look what I can do!!!

Giving herself a round of applause!
Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!

Trying to put on Uncle Rusty's shoes. She kept grabbing her foot, trying to bring it to the shoe instead of the other way around : )

Oh Christmas Trees, Oh Christmas Trees!!!

Yay! Christmas is coming! Kelby and I and Mikkelle got our decorations out and decked the halls! It was fun! We decorated the Christmas Trees to the Chipmunks Christmas (a tradition in my family) and it was a ton of fun. Mikkelle has only tried to tear off the ornaments like twice! (haha but we usually have a baby gate in front of both trees and presents). Kelby and I have made it a tradition to get one nice new decoration for each holiday, every year. And this year we bought out Christmas trees. Not traditional to have more than one but I thought they complimented each other : ) Kelby still has a ton of decor from growing up such as The First Christmas book and The Night Before Christmas Pop-up books which we have added my families version of The Night Before Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas too.
We also have a ton of teddy bears that we decked out in Christmas clothes. We put Mikkelle's Christmas outfit from last year on her favorite teddy from Grandma and Grandpa Hutchings and she has a hard time leaving it alone.
Voila! Our Christmas Trees! (And everyone else's presents).
We also bought a wooden angel we found on sale a while back. We both thought it was beautiful.
These guys are my favorite. We bought them last year. There's Kelby Gingerbread man Me Gingerbread woman and Mikkelle Gingerbread baby!
And the matching candy jars!
We love Christmas and the opportunity to spend time with those we love.
Love you all!

I Can't Help Myself...

Playing with Mommy's socks
Admiring the sucker she got at the Mall trick-or-treating
Just being adorable
You can literally see how sweet she is
My sweet little Mikkelle getting so big...

Badda Bing Badda Boom...

Wow, it has been a long time and I apologize, I lost my usb cord. But thanks to Kelby it's back and I'm blogging again! So, Mikkelle is Officially 1 now. Weird. Of course she is so bald that people have asked if she was 5 months old. Thanks. My parents happened to be in town the weekend before Mikkelle's birthday so we threw a party for her and invited the neighborhood as well as friends and family. It was quite a hit. And Mikkelle loved all the attention. And as much as she loved all the presents she loved the bows that came on them more.
She got lots of great presents including a baby signing book. She can successfully sign "all done" "eat" and "more." She is still working on "drink" and "play" as well as "momma" and "dadda" (though she can say those). She is also very good at saying "HI" especially when holding the phone to her ear.

The theme for her party was "Presents" so we wrapped a bunch of boxes and piled them everywhere.
Mikkelle was the best looking present there! Although she did not like her cake : ( She wanted to eat it but not with 20 people staring at her and the thought of sticking her beautiful hands into that icky icing was apparently not very appealing either. Kelby tried to encourage her by putting her hand in but that only made her cry. No cute messy photos this year...
McCoy is getting big too, he was army crawling all over the place at Mikkelle's birthday party. He gets cuter every time I see him.
Mikkelle looking adorable in one of her new outfits. She just can't seem to help herself : )
This is the pregnant Preying mantis that Kelby found in the backyard. It kept doing that little back and forth rocking motion they do and I was telling Kelby that I was afraid it was going to pounce at me and he's like "No it won't. Just get closer" so I got closer and sure enough it jumped right at me! I screamed and almost broke the camera by spasmodically throwing it to the ground.
Just a picture of proof that she's a daddy's girl.
Now how come she wouldn't do this with her cake? For our anniversary we got a bunch of paint and a canvas and let Mikkelle roll around in the paint. I don't think she's had more fun. She kept squishing the paint in her hand and moving her bum around trying to mush the paint all over. Which she did successfully. The painting now hangs in her bedroom.
