Here Comes The Bride!

My parents held a wedding this last weekend for a couple members of our ward. Brother Williard
and Sister Davis. It was amazing. Our Bishop, Bishop Scott conducted and wed them. The backyard looked amazing...There were pretty bows on all the chairs and a beautiful setup around the gazebo. Sister Davis came early and got ready in my moms room and we all chit chated and helped her primp. Sister Coley did her hair and did an awesome job. There were beautiful pink and white flowers all over the place. My mom had planted some all over the house a while back in preparation and they grew and grew and looked perfect.
We were all a little scared that the wedding would have to be moved some where else though because it has been raining and raining for the last several weeks. It started raining at 4 and the wedding started at 6.....We prayed soooo hard, and sure enough at around 5:45 the rain stopped, we wiped everything down and the wedding began.
My moms room looked beautiful and was all ready for her to feel like a princess. It doesn't seem that long ago that I was getting there. It's like the unofficial brides room of the house. Several brides have gotten ready there.

The BEAUTIFUL Sister Davis looked DIVINE. She got a uniquely beautiful dress from a little boutique that had an antique design. The designer is from Russia and she has a lot of Talent. It fit her perfectly. It truly was a special day and fun to be apart of...

I Like Life, Life Likes Me....

Well what can I say? I have a great life, a wonderful husband and a beautiful baby girl. Life really is good. Kelby and I spent a lot of time this week together. It was really nice. We took family photos, our first ever since we've been married and celebrated the day we were originally going to get married on (June 23rd) by eating the wedding cake my parents have been storing in their fridge for the last year and a half! It wasn't the best but it wasn't too shabby either...

Kelby is an amazing daddy to Mikkelle. He does all the rough housing that I won't/don't do and even though I cringe now and again, if he's gonna do it...I might as well catch it on camera! Kelby and I got a good laugh out of this picture deciding it looked more like a stork dropped Mikkelle out of the sky rather than Kelby throwing her in the air. Either way, I love it! And so does Mikkelle. This is probably one of her favorite things to do (you'd think my arms would be skinnier huh?).

Kelby and Mikkelle also had a lot of fun "drawing" for the first time. Kelby helped (a little haha). I remember seeing other parents put up the drawings their kids had done for them in school like it was a prized piece by Van Gogh
and thinking that it was ridiculous. But now, I understand. I think I might even get it framed : )

I have to admit I was surprised how well the cake still looked. There was even a flower on the top of it that had been frozen with it and as it thawed it still looked quite beautiful and the petals were still soft! It was pretty cool. My bouquet, even though it was all dried out was gorgeous still and it brought back a lot of really good memories.
We even decided to take pictures of us cutting it again. We used my mom and dad's knife that they used for their wedding. It was a lot of fun.
It's hard to believe that we are coming up on our two year anniversary. Time really does fly. Mikkelle will be eight months this next Sunday and I'll be twenty one. Wow. I love my husband, I love Mikkelle...I LOVE my life.

The Greatest Women, Best Mother, and Dearest Friend and Wife

Well my wife is off being busy so I thought I would leave a quick note telling everyone why Amber-Rose is amazing.
1. She is the MOST creative person in the world. Look at her masterpiece to the left. I helped of course but she came up with the idea of a hamburger Cake, yep you guessed it the hamburger is a cake and the french fries are sugar cookies, amazing. Not only that but she came up with the shirt ideas that we wear to everyone of our family Reunions, she makes shoes, paints, sings, can play pretend with Mikkelle for hours and just has some of the most innovative ideas I have ever heard of. I love her for her creativity.
2. I love me wife for her spontaneity. I love her so much when out of the clear blue she'll wrap her arms around you and then the next second make the funniest face in the world. She loves to make everyone around her happy and does it through random acts of randomness, it's fun.

3. My wife is the MOST beautiful woman in the world. I can still recall the first day I laid eyes on my wife, I can remember her outfit, her hair style, where she was sitting, what she was doing, because she left such an impression on me. She is stunning and gorgeous. This is a picture her mom took of her right before we got married, Hot mama, and yes she is...A Hot Mama!! She is so beautiful to this day I get butterflies in my stomach every time I see her and I fell like a little school boy who just kissed the prettiest girl in his class. You know you she's hot when I show pictures of her to the missionaries at the MTC and the only thing they can say is "Good JOB!" and as we drive or walk together you catch guys taking double takes at your wife.

4. She is the best Mother that I have ever read about or known. She loves Mikkelle so unconditionally it amazing the things she thinks about for Mikkelle's safety, for her well being, what she does to make sure she is happy, and healthy, he creativity being poured into Mikkelle and almost every waking and sleeping hours spent thinking about Mikkelle, praying for Mikkelle, doing something for Mikkelle and being with our gorgeous daughter.
5. I love my Wife because she loves me. The scriptures say we love God because he loved us first and I feel like no matter how much and and how hard I try to love my wife more, she always has an unconditional and everlasting love so much stronger than I can imagine. I love her for her ability to overlook my imperfections, to magnify my strengths, to endure the annoyance, and to love me. I love her so much and wanted to thank her for all that she does for me publicly, while also telling her I love her and appreciate her and wish her a happy birthday week as her 21st birthday is coming this Sunday. Honey thank you and I love you soooooo much. Love, your hubby.

I Feel Pretty, Oh So Pretty....

Mikkelle is a wonderful model. She loves the camera, whether it is taking her picture or if she is eating it. And of course I LOVE taking her picture. I am a Proud Mommy. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Mikkelle love's sitting on the "Big Person" couch. she gets so excited she almost hyperventilates....

...and she L-O-V-E-S the piano!

My Mom made Mikkelle this hat and I thought it framed her round little head perfectly.

Oh ThE pLaCeS yOu WiLl Go...

For the Family reunion in Flagstaff AZ, we went to the Grand Canyon, it was beautiful, here are a few pics.

Amberlyn, Kelby, Me and Mikkelle

Kelby and Mikkelle had lots of fun hanging out together under the Red umbrella trying not to get sunburned. Mikkelle was fine, but Kelby got permanent stripes on his face...

Yay Red umbrella~

Mikkelle looking like she passed out. Nice.

Alicia took us took us to this awesome restaurant where the waiters and waitresses sang to you while they served you food. It was a blast and all the girls got boas while the boys got bowler hats.

Kelby, me and Mikkelle had matchings shirts~

Mikkelle looking helpless

Kelby and I and Mikkelle dressed up as a Saloon Girl, A Cowgirl and an Indian

Remotes, Cheese and Sleeping Babeese

Well this summer has started off good. We finally got out of Utah for a break and are having a blast. Kelby is working hard at the Vet Hospital called Gentle Care Animal Hospital. He works with Dr. Opsomer and is learning a lot. The Dr. really trusts Kelby and lets him do things he usually only lets more experienced vet techs do. He works 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m. So Kelby and I are no longer "night" people. Early to bed early to rise. After Kelby goes to work he will usually come home and work a few hours in the yard for my dad. He is always really helpful with Mikkelle and around the house.
My mom and I having been working on our shoes and are having a lot of fun making them. I've been trying to get my online classes completed and work out so I can lose weight (both of which I seem to be unsuccessful at). Life is good though I can't complain. Kelby and I have had group dates and double dates with some friends out here. We went to the Springfield Symphony a few weeks ago and had "taco night"

in which Kelby thought it would be a good idea to put cheese in the microwave....making it all hard and nasty.

Mikkelle keeps getting bigger and bigger still and is weighing in at 20lbs. She still can't seem to manage to grow any hair though. She has two bottom teefers and can sit up all by herself. She giggles at everything, sleeps great, eats a lot, hates to get dressed, loves the mirror (go figure), claps her hands, clicks her tongue, and can ALMOST say "mama" and "dada."

She's also almost too big for her car seat. Who said they lasted until a year anyway? I also can't figure out how she fell asleep like that anyway. She's been a great sport as my guinea pig for trying out shoes I make (she gets to keep some too haha). She is a queen at finding the one piece of paper in sight and shoving it in her mouth...On our way home from the family reunion in AZ, (which was AWESOME thanks Alicia!) we stopped at a gas station and I went in to change her diaper. She had somehow got a hold of a piece of receipt and had eaten a TON of it. I didn't however realize this until AFTER I had taken her

diaper off, so here she is CHOKING and turning blue and as I pick her up to clear her throat (in a panic I might add) She starts peeing....EVERYWHERE! I thought I was going to have a heart attack and the women in the stall next to me must of thought I was a horrible mother. But I got it out, and though she cried for a while she was fine (thank heavens). And after 18 hours straight in the car we made it home safe and sound and paper free.

So, my mom made Mikkelle a TON of super cute outfits for when we got here. I think she must know how cute she is because she smiles for the camera a lot. Maybe she was just proud that she learned how to sit up. Either way, she looks adorable.

Kelby got his haircut shortly after we got here and dyed it too. At first we did highlights and he looked like a leopard and then we colored it and he turned out a redhead! Which looked awesome, although I have to admit getting there was kinda scary! I finally got my hair cut as well and now I don't look like a 40 year old but like the 20 year old (almost 21) that I am. And Mikkelle still looks like a little bald baby. A very cute little bald baby.

Also, it's not just paper Mikkelle will eat. She eats anything and everything. Here she is enjoying a fresh remote with a hint of blue and red buttons. My little couch potato. Don't ask me where she learned this from. I think it was innate.

Mikkelle LOVES the piano and would play it all
day if I let her. Apparently she is trying to be like
Uncle Taylor!
